The Karaoke Queen is a wonderful host for parties and large events. She is known for hosting karaoke parties as well as being a great singer/entertainer herself. A few weeks ago, The Karaoke Queen hosted a huge event in Hampton, Virginia for the 40th Hampton Reunion. She took a group of 300 plus attendees, many who did not know each other, and created the best fun filled experience I’ve had in a long time. Her excitement and wide catalog of songs had people of all ages engaged, singing, cheering, laughing, teaming up for group performances, and literally standing in line for their shot at stardom. Even if you weren’t brave enough to sing karaoke you were totally entertained. I’ve attended a few of Gwendolyn’s events and each time it’s a memorable experience.
Lynne Harris Taylor - Executive Producer at the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and EntertainmentHospice of Charles County is deeply grateful to “The Karaoke Queen,” for your wonderful service to our 2018 and 2019 5K Run/Walk. You are a fabulous addition to any event. You are a dream to do business with!!
Hospice of Charles County, MDThe Karaoke Queen entertained LOL Stations Fun & Celebration Center families virtually every Saturday and Sunday for over 4 years! As the largest fun center in the DC Metropolitan area, she would lead all guests in 100s of Happy Birthday serenades, perform the best in all genres, start a huge sing-a-long, and encourage even the meekest child and adult to get on the stage and sing and dance! Wonderful memories were created and shared as The Karaoke Queen would encourage women AND men to join in on the Tina Turner Proud Mary song and dance! I highly recommend The Karaoke Queen for any entertainment event. She always arrives early and is setup ready to go on schedule and has never missed a gig without advanced notice! You won’t be disappointed!
The Karaoke Queen graced us with entertainment at our first successful Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Bowling Fundraiser in 2014 when our mother was diagnosed with the disease. With the shock and stress of having just received such a daunting diagnosis months earlier, we wanted to turn lemons into lemonade by rolling up our sleeves and joining in the fight to STOMP OUT the illness with Dr. Amal Narang/Johns Hopkins University, Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation, and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Although three years later our mom won the battle in heaven, we continue fighting to win the world’s toughest cancer in earth.
For our first fundraiser, we wanted to include music and singing because of our mother’s love for both. Additionally, we sought ways to incorporate music as therapy for reducing anxiety and emotional stress. The Queen did not disappoint. As tunes of songs rang out over the speakers, with the Queen’s encouragement, our mother, family, supporters, and strangers alike grabbed the mics and we mixed sing-alongs with laughter, and, head and hand gestures all while soaking up the spotlight. It was hilarious! The bowlers couldn’t help but stop and watch the activities with utter joy.
We were very appreciative of the Queen’s ability to put together a playlist of the best karaoke songs based on a general description of our requests and it was pure “top-notch sing-your-heart-out-goodness.” She was able to engage us in such a way that provided the emotional support we needed—turning our tears of overwhelming fear of the unknown, to a moment of total delight. And for that, we THANK HER for providing us with loving memories that will last us a lifetime.

It was such a pleasure having you here to do karaoke with the kids and staff on Valentines Day. Even a week later the staff is still talking about how fun it was. Thank you for bringing so much joy and excitement to the unit. It was wonderful to see some of the older kids get up and sing and adorable to watch the little kids dance. It was really a wonderful day and so much fun for everyone.
Even though this is a children’s hospital it can, at times, feel serious and somber but you brought a light happy mood to the unit that lasted for days after. I have nothing but compliments about how well the event went. Thank you again so much for giving so much of your time to be here and share the Valentines Day spirit with us.
